Dermisil for Pet Mange is made from 100% pure extracts. The primary active component is concentrated lime-sulfur. Lime-sulfur is approved for safe use on mange mites by the FDA and EPA. Veterinary clinics world-wide use sulfur as a treatment for chronic dermatophytosis on many types of pets including dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens. Dermisil for Pet Mange is available without prescription.
The active ingredient of BenzaRid Spray is benzalkonium chloride. Our customers have asked us for a product to remove mange mites on floors, bedding, cloth etc. BenzaRid is a chemical which is commonly used by surgeons to wash up with prior to surgery called benzalkonium chloride. It is the only chemical product we sell, because mange mites on furniture, cloth seats, car seats, chairs, floors etc are very hard to treat by natural means and it is very effective against mange mites without the side effects of other products.
Dermisil for Pet Mange is safe for dogs, cats, kittens, and puppies from 2 months and older when the instructions are followed completely. You may also use on smaller animals such as ferrets, rabbits etc with additional dilution. The FDA and EPA have approved the use of sulfur compounds to treat mange on animals.

Publications discussing the treatment of demodicosis and sarcoptes scabie in the dog and cat are reviewed. Based on the evidence in the literature, amitraz rinses at 0.025-0.06% every 7-14 days, and oral daily ivermectin at 300 micro g kg(-1), milbemycin at 2 mg kg(-1) and moxidectin at 400 micro g kg(-1), respectively, can all be recommended for the treatment of generalized canine demodicosis. Ivermectin and moxidectin should be initiated at lower doses and patients monitored for possible adverse effects during therapy. In dogs and cats, lime sulfur (the active ingredient in Dermisil for Pet Mange) dips have been used successfully.
